The Taylor Seed hybrid arsenal is full, but 8013 is a clear-cut favorite for many. This hybrid has DroughtGuard(r) technology and outstanding yield potential. Combine that with a good stalk and root strength and it’s clear why this is a favorite of many Taylor customers.
As with all our hybrids, 8013 was put through rigorous testing with the Taylor Select Research program for several years before being available for purchase. In fact, 8013 was the #1 yield in our test plots for three years (2017-2020). We don’t stop there though – we also entered 8013 in the FIRST trials in southeast Nebraska and 8013 was the early-season winner with 192.9 bu/A and the FIRST trials in northern Missouri and 8013 shined in the St. Joseph early-season trial, finishing in the top spot with 255.5 bu/A. In overall region results, 8013 had an average of 199.4 bu/A and a 112-day maturity for a second-place finish
